How do I get to the Hustle for Health?
The Hustle for Health will take place at Shalom Village: 70 Macklin St. North, Hamilton ON. Click here for directions.
Is there Parking Available?
Due to road closures, no parking will be permitted on the Shalom Village premises, or at Coronation arena. Participants can park on streets around Macklin St. North (Dufferin St., Glen Rd., Paradise Rd N., etc.)
Where are the Road Closures?
Macklin St. N. will be closed from Dufferin St. to Longwood Rd. N. from 8:30 am -12:00 pm
Where can I register and pick up my race kit?
Check-in for the event will occur in Goldie’s Place in Shalom Village. Please follow signs to Goldie’s Place to check-in for the event
What time does registration open?
Check-in for event will occur at 8:30 am
I have not registered yet and the registration has closed. Can I still register?
Yes you can still register in person the day of the event.
What happens after the walk/run?
A kosher meal (hotdogs and latkes) will be served for all participants. The award ceremony will take place at 11:30 am
What time does the walk/run start?
The 1 and 5 km walk begins at 9:30 am
The 5 km run begins at 10:15 am.
Will my time be chipped?
Yes, all participants will have an official chipped time for the event. Results will be posted after the event, and online.
Will there be prizes?
Yes- first, second, and and third place runners of both genders will be awarded prizes for the 5 km race. All participants will receive a medal and t-shirt. Door prizes will also be given out.
Will medical personnel be on site?
Yes paramedics will be on site.
Will there be marshals on the course?
Yes, marshals will be directing walkers and runners.
Will there be a bag check?
Yes. A free bag check will be available at registration. Please note that Shalom Village Hustle for Health, its staff, volunteers, and partners are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please use at your own discretion. Shalom Village is not liable for any lost or stolen items. Items can be checked with bib number.
Will there be a drink station on the course?
Yes. One water station will be at 2.5 km for 5 km walkers and runners. Complimentary water will be handed out at the finish line for all participants.
Are there washrooms on course?
Yes. There are washroom facilities available outside of the registration area.
Can I walk the 5 km run?
Yes. Run or walk at whatever speed you feel comfortable doing.
Can I bring my dog along with me during the walk/run?
We would prefer that you to leave your animals at home.
